Inspiration

Everyone’s perspectives, ideas and opinions of the world are heavily influenced by all sorts of inputs that we collect throughout our lives. From parents, to teachers, to classmates or friends, all shaped – some more, some less – our view of the world. And thanks to modern technology, everyone could also find individual sources of inspiration online. Some of mine, I want to share and pick up on their content from time to time! My inspiration:

Dr. Christian Zippel (Author) 🇩🇪

Author of the book “Trust Chaos” (among others). My latest discovery, even though he was already out there for 15+ years. A true philosopher of our time that brings philosophy onto other levels by combining mental and physical strength to expand body and mind. His approach is rooted in systems & chaos theory that build up an entire theory of how our world is hold together driven by dynamics, energies and nature. Life has to be danced!

Prof. Dr. Christian Rieck 🇩🇪

“The most famous German game theorist” as often described. Prof. Christian Rieck is Professor in Frankfurt and hosts a successful Youtube channel. I appreciate his content because he models and explains all kinds of real world scenarios applying Game Theory. By doing that, he often takes all “players” perspectives and overall seems to be extremely pragmatic and solution-oriented without any agenda. Values that I highly appreciate.

Sam Ovens (Entrepreneur) 🇬🇧

Adam Grant (Author) 🇬🇧

Alligatoah (Singer/Artist) 🇩🇪

One of my favourite German singer/artist. He invented his own genre named “Schauspielrap” (theatrical rap) where he takes roles of all types of persons or situations in our society. All his songs have some red line, some sort of concept that he follow in the song. He has genius word plays in his songs and developed over the years his musical style, a true artist. Because he always takes other roles in his songs, you do not really know a lot about him. You are never sure if he is real or just playing a role. Fascinating guy.

Lex Fridman (Lex Fridman Podcast) 🇬🇧

Derek Muller (Veritasium) 🇬🇧

Benjamin Berndt (“Ungeskriptet” Podcast) 🇩🇪

Podcast host of “Ungeskriptet”, a German podcast format in which he interviews all type of people and uploads his talks without cuts. He talks to everyone and has not only an extremely pragmatic and open approach but simply is a great interviewer where no agenda but only arguments count. He wants to understand the origin of all sort of opinions and goes into each of his conversation partner’s perspectives to simply learn and widen his mind.

Niklas Steenfatt (Youtuber) 🇩🇪

Felix Lobrecht (Podcaster/Comedian) 🇩🇪

Florian und Friedemann (Proaktiv Podcast) 🇩🇪

James Clear (Author “Atomic Habits”) 🇬🇧

Portugueses pelo mundo (tv show) 🇵🇹

Portugueses are a quite united folk that all have something in common: They love their country. Portugueses pelo mundo is a Portugues tv show that highlights this perfectly. They visit Portugues expats around the world, present their life abroad and explain why they left their home country in the first place. This show perfectly explains the Portugues word “Saudades” that only exists in the Portugues language and means something like “longing” in English or “Sehnsucht” in German. I love that show because it also creates this feeling of saudades regarding your own upbringing.

Friends (tv show) 🇬🇧

Friends is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time. I have watched all of it several times while I find the show hilarious, I also learned one valuable lesson from it: It does not matter how serious or sad a situation is, there is always room for a laughter.
